Frequently asked questions
Does SiteSound place real orders or send real submissions on my site?
Not by default. The uptime, SSL, domain, page speed, link and media checks only read your site the way a visitor would. For form checks you decide whether a real test submission is sent: every check, once a day, once a week or never. Test submissions are marked "SiteSound automated test". Checkout checks never click the final payment button unless a test card or code has been agreed with you separately. Appointment booking checks never book.
What if my form has a CAPTCHA?
It cannot be passed automatically, so the check is done without a real submission.
Do you need my login credentials?
Only if you order a login check (Business and Agency). It uses separate test credentials, not your own, and they are stored encrypted.
How quickly will I be notified?
Usually within a few minutes. We confirm a problem before alerting, so you get fewer false alarms.
What do I need to install on my site?
Nothing. Checks run from the outside, and your site needs no plugins or code.
Do I need a credit card?
The Free plan requires no card or other payment method.
